Happy Fathers’ Day – To my children’s Father and the Father of many – I see that God gave my biological children a very responsible and devoted father, for that I am massively and eternally grateful. I also recognise that God has made you a father of many in many nations over the years. It reminds me of the Biblical Abrahamic blessing – Genesis 17:4-5 “As for me, behold, my covenant is with thee, and thou shalt be a father of many nations. Neither shall thy name any more be called Abram, but thy name shall be Abraham; for a father of many nations have I made thee.” It is abundantly clear no one can make himself this, ONLY GOD does this. God has given you a large heart to embrace so many in our United Denominations and beyond as your spiritual children. This includes your fledgling First Love Children and even my good self from University of Ghana days! Your love, selflessness & commitment to all these are genuine and profound. May God who judges by the reins of the heart continue to honour you and preserve you. May you & your God given children be for greater signs & wonders for the Kingdom of God’s sake! Isaiah 8:18 “Behold, I and the children whom the Lord hath given me are for signs and for wonders in Israel from the Lord of hosts, which dwelleth in mount Zion.” A Happy Fathers’ day, Bishop Dag!
